At LynOaken Upick, we are so proud of our Heritage Orchard, designed and planted by our dad, Darrel Oakes, and a local Amish fruit tree nurseryman. Over 300 antique and heirloom varieties of apples were selected for this section of the Upick Orchard, with the intention of showing the public that there is more to the apple world than the 10 varieties sold at grocery stores. This unique planting contains varieties originating from the middles ages up until present day, varieties of all shapes, sizes, and flavors. Most of the 300 varieties are represented by just one tree, carefully labeled with a sign indicating variety name and date and location of origin. We invite you to visit our Heritage Orchard and try something new (but also very very old!).
